KaamEasy ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share personal data when you use https://kaameasy.in (and related pages), the KaamEasy Customer mobile apps, and the KaamEasy Partner mobile apps. By using our services, you agree to this policy together with our Terms & Conditions.

We operate primarily from India. If you contact us, please include your registered email or phone and (for partners) your account ID where possible so we can verify and respond safely.
2. Scope & products
This policy applies to:
- The KaamEasy public website and web booking flows;
- The KaamEasy Customer app used to book drivers and home services;
- The KaamEasy Partner app used by drivers and service professionals to receive work;
- Admin and operations tools used to operate the marketplace (processing limited to legitimate business purposes).

3. Data we collect
Depending on how you use KaamEasy, we may process:
- Identity & account: name, email, mobile number, password or auth tokens, role (customer vs partner), and profile fields you provide.
- Booking & service data: pickup / service address, scheduled time, service type, fare estimates, trip or visit status, OTP-related metadata, chat messages sent inside the app, ratings, and support tickets.
- Location: when you allow it — approximate or precise device location (see app sections below). You can revoke permission in device settings; some features will not work without it.
- Payment data: for orders paid online we use Razorpay (or similar gateways). We receive transaction references and status; card or UPI credentials are handled by the payment provider under their policies.
- Wallet & UPI references: where you use in-app wallet or UPI instructions shown on the platform, we may process amounts, timestamps, and verification notes needed to reconcile bookings.
- Partner verification media: licence, identification, vehicle and profile photos you upload for approval.
- Device & technical data: device type, OS version, app version, IP address, timestamps, and diagnostic logs to secure accounts and debug issues.
- Communications: emails or SMS we send (e.g. booking confirmations, OTP) and records needed to prove delivery where required by law.
4. How we use data
We use personal data to:
- Create and secure accounts, authenticate logins, and prevent fraud or abuse;
- Create, match, fulfil, and document bookings between customers and partners;
- Show live or static map links (e.g. opening Google Maps) when you choose navigation;
- Process payments and wallet movements, invoices, and settlement with partners;
- Send operational notifications (booking updates, alerts) via app, email, or SMS as applicable;
- Improve reliability and safety of the platform, including dispute handling and audit trails;
- Comply with law, tax, accounting, and lawful requests from authorities.
Where Indian law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, your consent (especially for optional device permissions), and legitimate interests such as fraud prevention and network security, balanced against your rights.
5. Sharing & subprocessors
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service partners & customers: the minimum information needed to perform a booking (e.g. name, phone, addresses, trip status) between the matched customer and partner.
- Payment processors: e.g. Razorpay for online payments.
- Infrastructure & messaging providers: cloud hosting, email/SMS delivery, and logging vendors that process data on our instructions.
- Maps & links: when you open external map URLs (such as Google Maps), those providers may process data under their own terms.
- Legal & safety: regulators, courts, or law enforcement when required, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and KaamEasy.
We require service providers to use data only for the services they provide to us and to apply appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
6. Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax, and dispute resolution requirements. Booking and financial records may be retained for longer periods where Indian law applies. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it where feasible.
7. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures — such as encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and staff training — to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep your device updated.

After verification, we delete or anonymise personal data within 7–30 days, except where booking, payment, or legal obligations require limited retention (see that page and the Retention section below).
Depending on applicable law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in India where it applies), you may have the right to:
- Access or receive a summary of your personal data we hold;
- Correct inaccurate data;
- Request deletion where retention is no longer necessary and no exemption applies;
- Withdraw consent for processing that is purely consent-based (e.g. optional marketing, where offered);
- Nominate a representative or raise a grievance with us in the first instance.
To exercise these rights, write to support@kaameasy.in from your registered email where possible. We may verify identity before disclosing information. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may have further rights under Indian law once applicable mechanisms are fully operational.
9. Cookies & similar technologies
Our website may use cookies or local storage for login sessions, preferences, analytics, and security. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work if you disable essential cookies.
10. Children
KaamEasy is intended for adults who can enter a binding contract. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the age required by local law). If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Cross-border processing
Data may be processed on servers located in India and, where we use global cloud or communication services, in other countries that provide adequate safeguards through standard contractual clauses or applicable law. We take steps to ensure continued protection consistent with this policy.
12. KaamEasy Customer app (Android & iOS)
In addition to the sections above, the Customer app may collect or use:
- Location (optional / contextual): to set pickup points, show route or map links, and (when you book a driver trip) to support live trip coordination. You may deny or revoke permission; certain bookings may then need manual address entry or may be limited.
- Notifications: for booking status updates; configurable on supported devices.
- In-app chat: messages stored to operate the service and handle disputes.
- Payment flows: online payment via Razorpay where enabled; UPI or deep links may open your bank or UPI app under that app's rules.
13. KaamEasy Partner app (Android & iOS)
In addition to the sections above, the Partner app may collect or use:
- Location (foreground and, where you allow it, background): when you go "Online" we process location to broadcast relevant booking requests and, during an active job, to support customer safety and coordination. You can go "Offline" to stop location-based broadcasts (subject to completing active obligations).
- Photos & media: profile and verification images stored for display and admin review; camera/photo library access only when you initiate an upload.
- Wallet & earnings data: commission, incentives, and payout-related records.
- Chat & trip records: as for customers, to operate the marketplace and meet legal obligations.
- Notifications & sound: alerts for new tasks where enabled in Settings.
Processing is based on performing our agreement with you (partner / driver terms), compliance with law, legitimate interests (safety, fraud prevention), and consent where required for optional permissions.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes we may also notify you via email or an in-app notice where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires different steps.
